1. What significant life experiences or events have influenced and shaped your artistic vision?

Living in Bogotá has been the greatest influence on my work. This city, with its unique atmosphere, has given rise to a vibrant underground culture fueled by art created on the streets and in spaces where people share their individual interests. It’s a place where diverse thoughts and tastes find a home, giving it an uninhibited and authentic character.

This open and unconventional mindset is something I strive to reflect in my work. It inspires me to see things from different perspectives, to question ideas, and to explore new concepts. Bogotá, with its rhythm and peculiarities, has taught me to approach the world with a more flexible and creative outlook, something I carry with me in every project I undertake.

2. Collaboration often sparks fresh creativity. Can you share an example of a collaboration that led to an unexpected and exciting artistic outcome?

Collaboration, in my point of view, is a fundamental pillar of photography. Having a talented team not only makes it easier to achieve your goals but also leads to better results than initially expected. In fashion photography, working closely with a stylist and a makeup artist you can connect with is key.

I recognize that my own abilities have their limits, and trying to handle everything on my own is not only a challenge but also an obstacle to a project’s full potential. In my personal projects, I’ve learned to delegate and trust others, allowing the work to flow more smoothly. This shift has resulted in outcomes that far exceed what I could have accomplished on my own.

3. Walk us through a specific project that challenged your creative boundaries. How did you approach it, and what did you learn from the experience?

One of the most challenging projects for me was an editorial we developed with a designer for one of her collections. The concept tackled sensitive topics, such as suicide, and finding a way to represent the collection honestly and thoughtfully was a real challenge. To bring the idea to life, it was essential to have visual references that allowed me to see how others had interpreted similar concepts and identify what elements would work for what I wanted to achieve.

Drawing inspiration from other art forms, such as painting and books proved to be very helpful in enriching my approach. In the end, we were able to complete the project in a way that made us all proud of the result, relying on media and resources beyond photography to capture the essence of the collection.

4. In the ever-evolving art world, what do you believe sets your work apart and makes it unique or groundbreaking?

For me, the most important thing when producing work that I’m satisfied with is being honest with myself and understanding what truly excites and moves me when creating. When I take pictures, I try to follow a visual style that I identify with, drawing inspiration from everything I consume: paintings, cinema and music. Photography is present in most aspects of my life, and I apply it to my work as well. This blend of influences has allowed me to develop my own style, where I play with the surreal while maintaining the street vibe that defines and inspires me.

5. As you reflect on your journey, are there any specific goals or milestones you've set for your artistic career in the coming years?

Fashion photography is my passion, and my biggest goal is to achieve the recognition that allows me to collaborate with and influence the fashion brands and magazines that inspire me, giving me the freedom to have my own take on their visual style. Being featured in Mob is a huge step, and now my goal is to continue working with different media to reach a wider audience and share my vision.

  • The fashion editorial is inspired by Joan of Arc, a warrior who liberated France but was later condemned and burned as a witch by her own people. The collection represents her strength, audacity, and the powerful feminine voice that was silenced. It embodies female empowerment, courage, and resilience.
